| CADmech Presents at User Group Meeting |
June 2006 |
|
On June 28, 2006 CADmech was pleased to present at the Ontario SolidWorks User group meeting.
Representing CADmech, Joseph Vera, provided an entertaining and informative presentation
regarding Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE). This presentation included a case study where
DriveWorks Xpress software was utilized to assist in re-defining and streamling the design
process for a CADmech customer. We hope the presentation left people thinking..."...where can
we implement knowledge based engineering techniques to further improve the efficiency of our
design process". To stay competitive Canadian companies need to improve their design process
through re-useable engineering, automation and knowledge capture. KBE; it's the next great
step in product development.

| Certificate of Registration for Controlled Goods Program |
November 2005 |
|
CADmech Design received a Certificate of Registration under the Controlled Goods
Program (CGP) which entitles CADmech to examine, possess or transfer control goods
in accordance with the Defense Production Act and the Controlled Goods Regulations.
Some examples of controlled goods are certain firearms, many different kind of munitions,
aerospace, satellite and other goods and technologies that guide weapons systems.
This Certificate is mandatory for CADmech to work with some of its clients and is
valid until November 2007.

| 10th Anniversary Celebration... Fore! |
September 2005 |
|
It was a great way to spend a Friday afternoon. On September 9, 2005
CADmech hosted a golf day at the Richmond Hill Golf Club to celebrate our tenth
anniversary. It was a great day from the golf to the weather and food.
We would like to thank all of those who attended. We enjoyed
celebrating our 10th anniversary with some of the people that made the last
ten years possible. Thanks again! Click here to view pictures from the event.

| New Location! |
August 2005 |
|
Once again we have out-grown our office, but we haven't gone far! Our new location located at 60 Renfrew Drive, Suite 230
is just a few hundred meters north of our old 'home'. Our new office not only has more space to better serve our growing
list of clients but also provides a more comfortable work environment for our staff and work centres for our customers
while they are visiting us. Our phone, fax and e-mail's have not changed.

| CCRUG Conference |
May 2005 |
|
On May 31, 2005 CADmech attended this year CCRUG (Central
Canada Regional Users Group ?an organization linking Unigraphics, NX and EDS
product users in Ontario) meeting which was held at the Toronto Aerospace
Museum. It was a fantastic venue and a great day. Our
congratulations go out to the CCRUG committee for hosting such a successful
event and we extend our thanks for their constant support. CADmech’s
attendance was three-fold this year; as a vendor hosting a CADmech table, a
presenter providing a technical presentation and as attendee with team members
enjoying the variety of presentations throughout the day. We were very
pleased with the large attendance and positive feedback CADmech received for the
presentation we delivered.
CADmech presentation, entitled ?a class="bl_or" href="files/NX%20Wave%20Presentation.pdf">
Application of WAVE technology in die design process?detailed Best Practices for using the powerful WAVE
feature of NX software. We were pleased to see this presentation was one of the most attended technical
presentations of the day and equally impressed with the flow of positive feedback. It’s clear many people share
our vision of the importance of working efficiently and effectively from the beginning.

Abstract:
|
WAVE geometry linker is a NX feature that links part topologies and secures a seamless transfer
of information between NX parts. This presentation will cover the application of WAVE on the process
of die design using basic NX modeling and assembly features (no additional license required) and will
tie together part design information with tooling design. It will put a strong emphasis on clean
part design (“do it correctly the first time? and will demonstrate the process of keeping a
parametric upstream flow of information. It will also emphasize that doing it right does not mean
taking longer. The case study used in the presentation will illustrate parametric behaviour of
design changes from the part model all the way up the tree to the die components. The presentation
will demonstrate how this process flows even when dealing with the reality of poor geometry and
ever-changing product designs. The presentation uses the die-cast process to illustrate these
strategies; however, application of these techniques is applicable to almost any popular moulding process.
